Rainbow Crayons

I've been wanting to make some rainbow crayons with all of our old and broken crayon bits, but for one reason or another we just haven't done it. I was at Target the other day and saw some snowflake cupcake pans and had a great idea! With the holidays coming, wouldn't it be fun for the kids to make some rainbow snowflake crayons for the goodie bags for the kids in their classes before winter break?!

So, yesterday after soccer we decided to make some crayons to test it..

Take all of your old broken crayons....

Fill any kind of cupcake pans you'd like....

Bake in the oven (I couldn't remember what temp I'd read to put them on, so I did 275 for maybe 15 minutes - as you can see we watched them melt)...

Let cool (we checked ours 2-3 hours later)...

And then you have fun, funky rainbow crayons!

I think I might try to find some smaller winter themed pans before making them for the goodie bags, but the kids love them and had fun making them.
